So, tonight I learned:

1) A weblog, sometimes written as web log or Weblog, is a Web site that consists of a series of entries arranged in reverse chronological order, often updated on frequently with new information about particular topics.

I guess I need a topic. Boolean Logic is a good enough topic.

... 20 minutes later. I've used Boolean logic daily for over 40 years but can't come up with a basic description. Let's leave it at this:

     IF TEMPERATURE A IS GREATER THAN 85 DEGREES F
          THEN RUN EXHAUST FAN

The IF part boils down to true or false, so the fan runs, or it doesn't.

Now for a story. Years ago I had a one day job at a secured facility. The guys I worked with weren't rocket scientists, they were nuclear bomb tipped rocket scientists. Real smart fellers. At lunch that day the cafeteria served 1/2 fried chickens, just a chicken split length wise. One of the guys ordered two halves, and by chance he got a left and a right. Not to miss a chance to be smart, he asked the table "What are the odds these came from the same chicken?". A discussion ensued. After a few minutes I offered my opinion; "The odds are 50/50, either they did, or they didn't." The rest of lunch was pretty quiet. Boolean Logic.
